Canine Freestyle Dance – 6 weeks
Pre-requisite is an approved Beginning Obedience Class.

This class is a beginning Canine Freestyle Dance Class. The handler does not need to know how to dance to compete in this sport. We will cover basic freestyle moves and positions. This includes traditional obedience moves as well as some tricks set to music.  We will discuss music selection, costumes and choreography. Each team will develop a unique routine using the moves and music appropriate for that team. Successful completion of the class will allow the team to enter the beginning levels of any Canine Freestyle venue. If competition is not your goal, this class is a great way to channel your dog’s energy and teach balanced and challenging exercises.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA) testing will be scheduled for our NCOTC club members and students at least twice a year.

These American Kennel Club titles are offered to all dogs, both mixed and pure breed. The CGC and CGCA titles and certificates have become a standard for canines doing visitations in nursing home facilities. Our Obedience classes will prepare you for the multiple part tests. We also offer practice sessions prior to the test dates.
